2016 has been a year of big changes for our business. It started out with our new physical store being opened. We began in 2011 in an office in our home, then went on the road and did the ‘carnie’ thing for a bit. Returning to Michigan, the business outgrew our home and it was at that point we looked to move ‘to town’ and rent. No building seemed to suit our needs so we decided to convert our pole barn to a #brickandmortarstore . It’s been wonderful being able to leave work at the store and go home.
Existing customers started to find us quickly and new ones are now dropping by – the importance of signage! Our array of #engravables steadily increases and people are excited to find new items each time they come in. Some recent additions are engraved pictures on wood – framed, with mirrored acrylic embellishments, wood hat pins in the shapes of bears, paw prints, #Michigan . #engravedbelts are enjoying a resurgence in popularity as people realize we can put logos, animals, names, tools and more on a #solidleatherbelt . We also carry essential oil soaps and candles and have four foot benches with custom name plates at the store.
#ChristmasthroughLowell was a huge boon to our traffic numbers! We estimate between 250-300 shoppers came through our door. The best way to get our #kaleidoscopelaser name out there.
As our sixth year in business comes to a close, we are getting ready to unveil a new website. More modern with bells and whistles and widgets, our fresh kaleidoscopelasergifts.com will have a shopping cart online and plenty of examples of our work. Oh, and this blog, to keep you, our fans, updated/entertained and us hopping as we learn the #artofblogging. Cheers!
